The Northport Community Church will be holding an open house on Saturday, May 4, from 9am to 1pm, for anyone wishing to walk the property and take a peek inside the church, ahead of the Annual Town Meeting vote on June 17 whether to accept the gift of the church to the Town.

The third annual spring cleanup will take place on Saturday, May 4, from 8am to 12 noon. Please stop by the Town Office to pick up scones from the Scone Goddess, trash bags, dump stickers, and gloves. Pick up trash near your house, the beach, your favorite walking route, or anywhere that you see it, and bring the trash bag to the transfer station when you’re done.

The Annual Town Meeting will be held on Monday, June 17, at 6:30pm, at the Edna Drinkwater School (56 Bayside Road).

The Select Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 6:15pm at the Northport Town Office to discuss the purchase of a new rig for the First Responders and repairs to the Fire Department’s utility truck.
The Select Board has continued the Dangerous Building Hearing for 9 North Ave from Monday, August 14, to Monday, August 21, at 6:15pm, at the Town Office.

The Northport Give & Take Shed is now open for the 2025 season at 16 Beech Hill Road, Northport. The Give & Take Program by Waldo County Bounty offers a place where gardeners can give homegrown produce and anyone lacking access to fresh foods can take it at no cost. Many home gardeners know what it is like to have zucchini and cucumbers growing out of their ears: now there’s a place where you can take your extra produce and it will be used and appreciated!
The Northport Give & Take site is open 24/7 for anyone who would like to donate or pick up produce. You do not need to leave anything to take the fresh produce. The program aims to improve access to fresh foods for all people.
This year, Waldo County Bounty requests that people who donate fruits and vegetables record their donation in a notebook at the shed. For the health and safety of our community, please only donate homegrown fruits and vegetables, seeds, seedlings, or gleaned farm produce. Please do not leave store-bought food, home canned goods, badly bruised or near-rotting produce, or fallen apples or other produce collected from the ground. Additionally, do not leave meat, eggs, cash, clothing, or other household items.
Each year, Waldo County Bounty hosts 15+ Give & Take sites across Waldo County with the help of local volunteers.
